Access and General Information

The Cairnsmore is not fully accessible accommodation as it is contained within a historic Grade-2 listed building. Access to the property requires navigating a large, split-level staircase to the first floor, and one step into the main entrance door to the flat. Access to the upstairs bedrooms within the property involves negotiating a further split-level staircase. It is therefore not suitable for people with disabilities and health conditions that affect mobility.

We are unable to welcome pets in The Cairnsmore due to its location and proximity to our hotel rooms. It is a strictly no-smoking property.

We wish to remind guests making bookings that while all efforts to manage noise disturbance will be undertaken, The Cairnsmore is located above a bar, adjacent to four hotel rooms and on a main street surrounded by both residential properties and commercial businesses. The Wigtown Ploughman bar also hosts regular events, including live music, so a degree of noise should be expected by guests.
